Want to learn more about energy efficiency, emissions reduction, and the many benefits of mechanical insulation? The Department of Energy and the National Insulation Association have teamed up to produce The Mechanical Insulation Education & Awareness Campaign or MIC, a series of eLearning courses designed to explain what mechanical insulation is, and illustrate how it can best be used in industrial and commercial settings.
The range of topics includes the attributes of mechanical insulation, the science of insulation specifications, insulation project design considerations, and insulation maintenance. The course modules include a glossary of terms and access to the Mechanical Insulation Design Guide. It’s web-based and typically takes about 2 hours to complete.
