Facebook is more than just a place to share gossip and post “awesome” cat videos. It’s also become a venue for insulation professionals to network and show off their handiwork. Let’s say you just completed an arduous insulation install and you’d like to let your buddies (or your rivals) see just how cool it looks. Or maybe you’ve got a question about a job and you’d like to solicit comments — or answers — from your fellow workers.
Now there are a couple of of FaceBook groups for just that: The “Insulator’s Wall of Fame,” which has 4,432 members and describes itself as “A Display of Our Best Work in the Industry,” and “Insulator’s Unity” with a membership of 1531. If you’re in the tribe and have something you need to know, or have some work you want to showcase, these online pitstops are designed for you. There’s even a place for negative examples: “Insulators Wall of Shame.”
