On June 26, Johns Manville employees rode and volunteered in the annual Bike MS Colorado event. JM has been supporting the event for 24 years. This year, Team JM raised nearly $50,000 for the MS Society.
This was also JM’s fourth year hosting a rest stop at Berthoud High School. JM volunteers spent the day serving lunch, snacks and beverages to the riders, and worked to keep riders safe from the thunderstorms and difficult course conditions which presented themselves throughout the day.
“As a fourth--year co-captain, it has been an honor volunteering at MS150 each year,” said Andrea Shen, Senior Category Manager. “One of my college friends was diagnosed with MS a few years ago, making this cause a lot more personal. I volunteer because simply stated: Actions speak louder than words."
