TRYMER PIR

Product Long Description
TRYMER® PIR (polyisocyanurate) is a closed-cell, foam insulation for industrial pipes, vessels, and equipment. TRYMER PIR can be used in applications that operate at temperatures ranging from -297°F to 300°F (-183°C to 148°C). Additionally, TRYMER PIR is offered in a variety of different densities and compressive strengths to ensure the product consistency is suited for the unique needs of a variety of applications. TRYMER PIR features one of the lowest ambient k-factors among all pipe insulations: 0.19 BTU · in/hr · ft2 · °F at 75°F mean temperature (0.027 W/m · °C at 24°C).

Features

TRYMER PIR

Features

Less Insulation Needed - Superior thermal conductivity allows TRYMER PIR to be used at less insulation thickness while still meeting the required design criteria (condensation control, energy efficiency.

Installation Ease - Lightweight and easy to install, TRYMER PIR is produced in longer sections compared to cellular glass (3’ vs. 2’), resulting in fewer joints to seal and less potential for failure.

Breakage Resistance - Allows for easier fabrication of sophisticated and robust joint treatments as well as little to no damage in shipment.

Flame Spread Performance - No asphalt coating required and meets ≤ 25 flame spread.
