Installers have long trusted Johns Manville Micro-Flex® on large-diameter pipes and tanks for its excellent insulating performance. Designed for round and irregular shapes, Micro-Flex has always been a go-to solution – and now, with new options, it’s even better.
Cut-to-Length Convenience
One of Micro-Flex’s biggest advantages has always been its ability to be cut to size on the jobsite. Our new cut-to-length program takes that flexibility a step further, allowing customers to order tailored roll lengths that will minimize waste and reduce labor.
Micro-Flex is available in 3- or 4-foot-wide rolls, and with the cut-to-length option, it’s easier than ever to get exactly what you need for large-diameter pipe projects.
Smarter Shipping
Optimized shipping is another major benefit. With Micro-Flex, you can fit 2-to-5 times more linear feet per trailer compared to traditional pipe sections. Best of all, there is no additional cost for customers using the cut-to-length option.
“The cut-to-length program is designed to give customers more flexibility and choice for insulating large-diameter pipes,” said Justin Evans, JM Product Manager. “It comes stocked in pre-cut lengths to minimize labor and reduce waste on the jobsite.”
Built for Performance
The Micro-Flex manufacturing process creates a fiber orientation that enhances both compressive strength and thermal performance of the final product when compared to conventional pipe and tank insulation. It’s available with FSK, AP, or Ultra vapor retarder facings.
Because Micro-Flex and Micro-Lok® HP share the same jacketing options, they pair perfectly for a clean, uniform appearance. Use Micro-Lok for smaller diameter pipes and Micro-Flex for larger ones.
Versatile Installation
Micro-Flex can be installed indoors or outdoors. For outdoor applications, simply add a weather barrier cladding such as aluminum or PVC jacketing to protect against the elements.
