June is National Safety Month

With being a manufacturer, safety is a high priority. So high that we hold ourselves to an exceptional standard when it comes to safety. Safety isn’t just one of our four core values, it’s part of our culture. Safety is a topic that extends from plants around the world to our offices and even to our home.

At our plants, we have pushed the culture to be front of mind. It’s extremely important that you go home in the same or better shape then when you started your day. Safety coins were handed out to plant employees that are meant to be kept with them at all times to remind them to stop, breathe, think, plan and proceed before taking action. We wanted our plants to have a consistent message.

Take 5

This initiative encourages employees to stop and take a minute before proceeding. If something doesn’t seem safe, then rethink your plan. It’s very important when you are dealing with large machinery to take your time and be aware of what you are doing. Our manufacturing locations have these posters hanging up throughout the plant to remind our employees to Take 5. Safety coins were handed out to plant employees that are meant to be kept with them at all times to remind them to stop, breathe, think, plan and proceed before taking action.

Safety PPE

We consistently monitor the safety equipment that our field technical team uses. They recently had a training regarding using the harness on the roof and other proper fall protection. We work in a dangerous industry where the slightest mis-step can lead to severe injuries.
