Johns Manville Introduces Thermoflow® 600+ for PBT/PET

Johns Manville (JM), a market-leading manufacturer of continuous filament glass fiber and a Berkshire Hathaway company, announced today the introduction of a new chopped strand called ThermoFlow® 600+ for PBT/PET reinforcement.

ThermoFlow® 600+ Chopped Strands are designed to provide superior as-molded mechanical performance in PBT/PET as well as improved flow performance for complex shapes used in electronics. The improved color performance after aging also enables compounders to increase the use of PBT engineered thermoplastics in consumer applications.

The product will be introduced this week at the FAKUMA 2017 Show in Friedrichshafen, Germany. The JM booth is at Hall B4-4304.

"JM continues to bring new products to market in engineered and structural thermoplastic composites to serve our customers," said Jared Cox, Global Chopped Strands Product Manager for Engineered Products - Fibers. "ThermoFlow® 600+ was developed in close cooperation with compounders and builds on JM’s 50 years of reinforcement expertise in Europe."
