Glass Air Media Team Wins Innovation Award

The Glass Air Media Team, part of Johns Manville’s (JM) Engineered Products division, has won the company's Innovation Award, which is awarded annually for exceptionally innovative achievements. The business developed a groundbreaking new filter medium that has the lowest possible energy consumption during use. This was achieved by using a multi-fiber construct in combination with special heat settings during the production process. This project therefore makes an important contribution to reducing overall energy consumption in ventilation systems worldwide.

"The team has really excelled with their deep knowledge," says Christian Hassmann, Director of JM’s Filtration Business. "To develop such a product, it is essential to have smooth coordination with colleagues from process control, sales, production and scheduling. This worked very well on this project."
