Senior Western Region Builder Specialist
Steven is Johns Manville’s Senior Builder Specialist for the Western Region. He’s passionate about supporting builders by connecting them to JM’s building science expertise, breadth of products and outstanding contractor base. Steven was previously the Western Regional Sales Manager for the Performance Materials business and has been with JM for nearly a decade. His industry tenure also includes time served on the Board of Directors and as President for the Western Insulation Contractors Association. He has spent 9 years as President of a California insulation contracting business and 12 years as President of an international manufacturing company.
J.R. is a research engineer and the principal building scientist for Johns Manville. For more than 20 years, he has been involved in research and development of building products, as well as providing education and consulting on building systems, with an emphasis on heat, air, moisture, noise, and energy efficiency. He is actively involved in DOE industry research, standards development through ASHRAE, and serves on the Board of Directors for Home Energy magazine. He holds degrees in engineering management and physics from the University of Colorado, and is also a licensed engineer.
Technical Services Specialist
Michaela is responsible for day-to-day technical assistance on Building Insulation products for all entities. She also assists with technical inquiries for the Performance Materials Group and the Industrial Insulation Group. Michaela holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Before joining JM in 2016, she worked in the oil and gas industry for a small start-up service company. Michaela enjoys tackling any issue and providing customers with solid, researched-based solutions in a timely manner.
