It allows for production at high machine speed while still achieving sharp pleats. In addition, the smooth surface contributes to better pleating characteristics. Finally, the pleating process can be run at lower temperatures –– leading to reduced energy consumption.
JM also supplies different polyester spunbond types as frame material for automotive cabin air filters. These products feature good dimensional stability and very high tear resistance.
