"Steve Crone and Dave Velcheck of Johns Manville came out and went through the project with us," said Kraase, the project architect. "The specification was based on Johns Manville but the bid was open to other companies as well. We selected Johns Manville because they've been around a long time and have a good reputation," he said.

 

The white roof consists of two layers of 1.5 inch isocyanurate foam insulation mechanically fastened to a wood deck covered with UltraGard SR-60 thermoplastic single-ply membrane mechanically attached. Kraase said he specified a PVC roof because it is ideal for restaurants.

 

Lemirande was pleased with the new product. "This is a good looking roof and the application went very smoothly," he said. "I've used other PVC products and this compares very favorably. The roof had many penetrations and this system was installer friendly."
