PermaFlash™ Ideal for Difficult Flashing Situations

PermaFlash Bituminous Flashing System

Denver, Colorado (3/6/2007) --- Johns Manville introduced PermaFlash, a flexible bituminous flashing for difficult flashing situations.  The polyester scrim is soft and pliable to accommodate any shape and provides the reinforcing substrate for the MBR® Flashing Cement. The system’s flexibility allows it to accommodate general roof expansion and contraction to retain its weatherability.

The two-part, cold-applied system consists of a polyester stitch-bonded reinforcing scrim and a two-component adhesive for superior bonding and durability. It is specifically formulated for use with all bituminous systems including hybrid systems for new and re-roof applications, metal roofing, paver systems and historic preservation or restoration projects.

PermaFlash is easily installed with hand tools in any location. Because the primer dries instantly, the process moves quickly.

PermaFlash has minimal odor, cures in 1 to 4 hours, and can be applied in cool temperatures. Cost per penetration is competitive or lower than urethane systems.  PermaFlash penetrations are eligible for coverage in No Dollar Limit (NDL) guarantees.
