San Francisco, California (2/16/2001) --- The Johns Manville Roofing Systems Group unveiled its new Internet based customer care program, JMConnexus™, at the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) meeting today in San Francisco. The company's e-business initiative is designed to speed up transaction time, provide more information to customers and make it easier for them to interact with JM.
"We believe that the Internet is a wonderful tool that can help us to be more responsive to the needs of our customers," said Larry Glass, the JM e-commerce content manager. "We are committed to being on the leading edge of technology so that we can exceed their expectations."
JMConnexus provides registered customers with an on-line product catalog, on-line guarantee application entry and status, a message center, order and account status and order entry. The site has built in security to ensure business integrity and authorized use. Registered customers can have multiple users authorized to utilize the features of the site.
Customers participating in JMConnexus can quickly find information in the on-line catalog that includes product specifications, literature and data sheets. The customer specific section of the web site provides a direct communications link with JM. Customers will be able to view their up to date account detail at anytime giving them access to their purchase and payment history.
One of the most powerful features of the site is the ability of a Johns Manville Approved Roofing Contractor to enter guarantee applications and view the status of pending guarantees on-line. This should help to eliminate errors and reduce the time for guarantee approval.
