Johns Manville Roofing Systems Group Announces Reorganization to Better Support Customer Needs

New Orleans, Louisiana (2/12/2003) --- The Johns Manville Roofing Systems Group (RSG) announced today that it has reorganized to bring additional focus on meeting the new challenges facing its customers. The company has created a new Contractor Services Group to bring a “best of class” program to its roofing contractor base and is stepping up its educational activities.

Craig Maginness, who has a wealth of experience in developing innovative roofing programs, is heading this new group, as director. John Cambruzzi, who formerly was the preferred accounts manager, will assume the new position of contractor program manager. This is the first time RSG has dedicated someone to this important role.

In response to customer feedback, RSG also has created a new educational and technical services initiative. The JM Roofing Institute™ will develop system selling, value selling, installed-cost and specification-writing workshops. Industry veteran David Scheirer will manage this new initiative, which will include the Better Understanding of Roofing Systems Institute (BURSI) program.

“We are committed to exceeding customer expectations,” said Norman Parker, director of marketing for RSG. “We want to send a message to JM customers that we are listening, we have heard and we will make the changes necessary to be the best roofing partner in the business.”

Johns Manville also announced several other changes to better meet the needs of its customers. Brad Burdic, who most recently was assigned to the company’s Six Sigma initiative, has returned as group manager, Preferred Accounts. One of the objectives identified by JM contractors was the need to generate qualified sales leads. The Preferred Accounts Group works directly with national building owners to provide roofing solutions throughout the United States.

Jennifer Kishi will assume all pricing responsibilities for the Roofing Systems Group. She will be responsible for developing and implementing a world-class pricing model. Additionally, in order to enhance its business relationships with key distributors and contractors, Ben Bryan will become national distribution manager. Bryan will be responsible for growing the relationship with major distributors and contractors. He also will work with the field sales representatives and regional managers to develop support programs and sales initiatives for key customers.
