DustEx™ and Standard Black Uncured

Description DustEx and Standard Black Uncured are blankets made of glass fibers and highly-specialized resins. These products are produced in an uncured state and are specifically designed to be molded into hoodliners, dash insulators, and other automotive acoustical components. Dust Control Johns Manville addresses occasional dust complaints by auto workers with DustEx fiber glass. In-plant observations indicate that dust is primarily formed when fiber glass is flexed during installation and handling. DustEx glass fibers are bonded with a special latex binder which encapsulates the intersections of the fibers allowing them to bend without shattering. Comparative testing demonstrates that this technology reduces airborne fibers 80 percent and dust 70 percent.
