Q:  Can I leave Johns Manville AP foil exposed?

A:  This product should not be left exposed. The major building codes in the United States and Canada require that foam insulation be covered by an approved thermal barrier such as 1/2 inch gypsum wallboard, or in some cases 1/4 inch plywood or 26 gage corrosion resistant sheet metal.
