MICRO-AIRE™ high-loft microglass media with the standard polyester-spunbond backing can be used at a continuous working temperature of 250 F (121C) in applications where synthetic media will fail.
For higher temperatures, a woven-glass fabric is used to replace the polyester-spunbond backing and the continuous-use temperature is 320F (160C).
For Class-1, fire-rated applications, microglass media, in either an unbacked form or with a woven-glass fabric backing, can be used to meet the U.L. requirements. All adhesives and sealants used in the construction of your filters should be carefully selected. Contact your JM representative to get further information on meeting Class-1 requirements.
