Johns Manville’s chemically resistant, glass-fiber nonwoven separator veils come in a multitude of thicknesses and widths to meet your separator application needs.  Our glass veils provide superior performance in reduction of antimony transfer.  Additionally, they are acid/alkali resistant, highly porous and consistent.  These characteristics make them a preferred separator protection layer for stationary and traction batteries.

Battery separators made with phenolic resin require a thin, stiff, manganese-free carrier with high porosity and excellent resin penetration.  Not only have our polyester spunbond products been engineered to meet all of these requirements, but they are being engineered to meet the future needs of the energy storage market.
