Johns Manville’s chopped strands reinforce thermoplastics, thermosets, gypsum board and nonwoven mats.  We design our fiber glass to your requirements, so your products will perform at optimum levels.  JM fibers may be hidden from view, but their effects are plain to see. ThermoFlow® and StarStran® materials reinforce thermoplastic and thermoset resins.  ThermoFlow® is a densified, tight filament, chopped fiber glass known for its low fuzz generation, consistent bundle size and shape, and excellent features for twin screw extrusion processes.  StarStran® bundles are un-densified chopped strands that disperse consistently in gentler resin compounding processes.

Chop-Pak® wet dispersible chopped fiber glass strands are great for creating nonwoven mats.  They readily exfoliate so the filaments entangle easily to create a smooth nonwoven and they are treated with a chemical sizing that is compatible with resin binder.

DuraCore® chop strands are made for either wet or dry delivery gypsum wallboard reinforcement.  They consistently disperse into the gypsum slurry, providing a reinforcement that resists flame excursion.
