Flexible Spending Accounts

To help you fund certain dependent day care and health care expenses not covered by our health care plans, Johns Manville offers the option of participating in two flexible spending accounts: a health care spending account and a dependent day care spending account. Contributions to the spending accounts are made by the employee on a pre-tax basis-before federal income, state and local income and Social Security taxes are calculated and deducted from your paycheck. As a result, your taxable income is lower and you pay less in taxes. You use the savings to reimburse yourself for uncovered health care expenses and those meeting the dependent day care expense criteria.
